Introduction
The OPA1678 (dual-channel) and OPA1679 (quad-channel) operational amplifiers offer higher system-level performance compared to traditional operational amplifiers commonly used in audio circuits. The OPA167x amplifiers achieve a low noise density of 4.5 nV/√Hz and a low distortion of 0.0001% at 1 kHz, thereby improving audio signal fidelity. They also provide a rail-to-rail output swing within an 800-mV range under a 2-kΩ load, increasing headroom and maximizing the dynamic range. The OPA1678 and OPA1679 can operate over an extremely wide power supply voltage range from ±2.25 V to ±18 V and also operate with a supply current of only 2 mA (4.5 V to 36 V), making them adaptable to the power supply limitations of many types of audio products. These operational amplifiers are unity-gain stable and offer excellent dynamic behavior over a wide range of load conditions, enabling their use in many audio circuits. The OPA167x amplifiers use fully independent internal circuits to minimize crosstalk and are immune to inter-channel interactions even during overdrive or overload. The OPA167x is rated for a temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.
