Introduction
GM8023 is a high-voltage, high-current relay driver IC featuring low quiescent power consumption and strong drive capability. The IC integrates an H-bridge power driver circuit whose outputs can be directly connected to a relay. Under the control of input logic signal levels, it can open and close the contacts of a magnetic latching relay. The application circuit requires no additional external components, offering a compact footprint, low power consumption, and high reliability. GM8023 is available in SOP-8 and SOT23-6 packages. Compared to traditional relay driver ICs, it features an optimized design with an increased maximum voltage rating — the three high-voltage pins VDD, OUTA, and OUTB each support a DC withstand voltage of up to 50V. Additionally, the reduced on-resistance of the power transistors enables effective driving of three-phase relays or multiple standard single-phase relays in a parallel network, with a maximum drive current of 800mA. A dedicated anti-ringing circuit design effectively suppresses ringing on the IC outputs.
