Introduction
The CD4013B is a dual D flip-flop consisting of two identical, independent data-type flip-flops. Each flip-flop features independent data input, set, reset, clock input, and Q and Q̄ outputs. The device can be used as a shift register; by connecting the Q output to the data input, it can also function as a counter and toggle flip-flop. On the rising edge of the clock, the logic level at the D input is transferred to the Q output. Set and reset operations are independent of the clock and are accomplished by a high level on the set or reset line, respectively. The recommended operating supply voltage VDD for the CD4013B ranges from 5V to 15V. All input pins must be connected to VDD, VSS, or other input pins.
