Introduction
WS2813B-B is an intelligent externally-controlled LED light source with integrated control circuitry and light-emitting circuitry. It shares the same form factor as a 5050 LED, with each component functioning as a single pixel. Each pixel integrates an intelligent digital interface with data latch, signal reshaping/amplification drive circuit, reverse polarity protection circuit, high-precision internal oscillator, and high-precision constant current control module, ensuring highly consistent color output across pixels. The product supports dual-line signal transmission, so a single damaged pixel does not affect the overall color display. The data protocol uses single-wire return-to-zero (RZ) communication. After power-on reset, the DIN port receives data from the controller — the first pixel extracts and latches the initial 24 bits, while the remaining data is reshaped and amplified internally before being forwarded to the next cascaded pixel via the DO port; each pixel reduces the signal by 24 bits. Pixels employ automatic reshaping and forwarding technology, so the number of cascadable pixels is not limited by signal transmission constraints, only by signal transmission speed requirements. The port scan frequency reaches up to 2KHz with no flicker under high-definition camera capture, making it ideal for high-speed moving applications. The RESET time is greater than 280μs, so interruptions will not cause false resets, enabling support for lower-frequency, more cost-effective MCUs.
