Introduction
Low dropout linear regulator with a typical input-to-output voltage differential when delivering 1A output current. In addition to multiple fixed voltage versions (Vout = 1.8V, 3.3V, 5V), an adjustable output version is also available, providing an output voltage range of 1.25V~10V. Comprehensive overcurrent and over-temperature protection is provided (operating temperature range: -20°C~105°C), ensuring stability of the IC and power supply system. Advanced trimming technology applied during production ensures output voltage and reference accuracy within ±1%. Available in SOT-223, TO-252, and SOT-89 packages. AMS1117 is a low dropout three-terminal linear regulator. The peripheral application circuit is simple — the fixed voltage version requires only input/output capacitors and a load to operate. The IC integrates startup circuitry, bias circuitry, voltage reference, over-temperature protection, overcurrent protection, power transistor and its driver circuit. The overcurrent and over-temperature protection modules ensure IC and system safety when the ambient temperature exceeds 120°C or the load current exceeds 1.1A. The reference voltage circuit provides a stable reference level. Internal trimming technology guarantees output voltage accuracy of ±1%. With carefully designed temperature compensation, the output voltage temperature coefficient is less than 100ppm/°C.
