PTC PT1901A-HS-TP

PT1901/A is an ultra-high voltage linear constant-current LED driver IC with a maximum input voltage of 400V, designed to drive high-voltage, low-current LED loads. The application circuit requires very few external components, features a compact layout, and can be easily and flexibly applied to various small-form-factor or flat-panel LED products. PT1901/A delivers a constant current of 5~150mA; the integrated multiplier significantly improves system power factor and achieves ultra-low system THD (meeting the highest IEC standards); meanwhile, the simple linear drive topology requires no magnetic components, effectively eliminating EMI issues.

PT1901/A employs a patented closed-loop control scheme to achieve constant output current regulation, with excellent line regulation and load regulation, ensuring a stable average output current over a specified input voltage range. PT1901 additionally provides a 0–2.5V analog dimming function with a dimming range of 5%~100%.

To prevent IC damage due to overheating, PT1901/A integrates an intelligent thermal control function. When the internal junction temperature rises to 138°C, PT1901/A begins to reduce the output current; when the junction temperature reaches 155°C, the output current is reduced to 0. This avoids the light flickering issue associated with conventional over-temperature protection schemes.
