Introduction
The DPHY440 is a 1-to-4 lane clocked MIPI DPHY retimer for regenerating DPHY signaling. The device is compliant with the MIPI DPHY 1.1 standard and supports MIPI CSI-2 or MIPI DSI applications at data rates up to 1.5 Gbps. The device compensates for PCB-, connector-, and cable-related frequency loss and switching-related loss to deliver optimal DP electrical performance between CSI-2/DSI source and sink devices. The DPHY440 features a configurable equalizer at its DPHY inputs. The output pins automatically compensate for skew mismatches between clock and data received at the device input ports. The DPHY440 output voltage swing and edge rate can be adjusted independently by changing the state of the VSADJ_CFG0 pin and ERC pin, respectively. The DPHY440 is optimized for mobile applications and incorporates an activity detection circuit on the DPHY link interface to transition to low-power mode upon detection of ULPS and LP states. The SN65DPHY440SS is rated for operation over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C, while the SN75DPHY440SS is rated for operation over the commercial temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
