SH88F6161/SH88F6162 is a high-speed, high-efficiency 8051-compatible microcontroller. At the same oscillator frequency, it offers faster execution and superior performance compared to traditional 8051 devices.

SH88F6161/SH88F6162 retains most features of the standard 8051, including built-in 256-byte RAM and two 16-bit timer/counters. In addition, SH88F6161/SH88F6162 integrates 2816 bytes of external expanded RAM, 64KB of flash for program storage, and 2K bytes of EEPROM-like memory for data retention after power loss.

On-chip resources of SH88F6161/SH88F6162 include: 61 CMOS bidirectional I/O pins, 4 PCA channels, 2 enhanced UARTs with dedicated baud rate generators, LCD driver, LED driver, ADC, DAC, operational amplifier, SPI interface, TWI interface, and a USB module (USB not available in SH88F6161).

To achieve high reliability and low power consumption, SH88F6161/SH88F6162 integrates a watchdog timer, low-voltage reset, and low-voltage detection, and provides 2 low-power saving modes.
